CHRISTMAS DREAMS
...NOW AND THEN...

O Holy night, the stars are brightly shining
It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till He appeared and the soul felt His worth

A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices
For yonder beams a new and glorious morn
Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!
O night divine! O night when Christ was born!
O night divine! O night, O night divine!

Truly he taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break, for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease

Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus rise we
Let all within us praise His holy name
Christ is the Lord
Then ever, ever praise we
His pow'r and glory ever more proclaim
His pow'r and glory ever more proclaim

When we think of Christmas, our thoughts go to gifts we share with loved ones and friends.
Our thoughts go to the Christmas tree and other ornaments that adorn our homes, even Santa.
This Christmas, however, it is my hope and prayer that we concentrate more on the real meaning of this blessed holiday.
There's a gift that you don't have to go to the stores to buy, a gift that won't break or tear up, a gift that will last for eternity.
You don't have to pay for it and all you have to do is ask to acquire it.
That gift is the gift of Jesus...and along with Him you can have the gift of salvation absolutely free.
There are no words that express the love that God demonstrated to us on the night of His son's birth.
He gave us a gift of love and affection through Jesus Christ and with that birth we were given the true joy of what Christmas is all about.
This Christmas as you give gifts to those you love, think of the love that was given to you that first Christmas.
To me, life's greatest gift came wrapped as a baby over 2,000 years ago.
The beautifully wrapped packages can't compare to the tiny baby that was wrapped in swaddling clothes and laid in that manger.
So this Christmas take advantage of your free gift and if you have never excepted Jesus as your Saviour there is no better time then now.
That is the greatest gift you can ever give your family and friends.
God Bless You All This Christmas!
Brenda
