It started a long time ago
You and me, two hearts as one
No one knew us, which was which
“Twin” was our name, our fate was done

I tried to find myself in time
I thought I wasn’t whole
But God, well, He knew me better
For I needed one more soul

He gave me you, He knew me best
He knew I could not survive
I needed a friend, One heart, One beat
To help me feel alive

So twins, we are, the choice was made
By God from up above
I thank Him, I praise Him, I love Him so
For giving me this special love

I’m so blessed because of you
I’ll always and forever be thankful, sis
That God, He made me two
