I Guess, Lord
by Linda

It’s been so long since I’ve sat down to write
I guess I’m in a moving mood – tonight,
And I haven’t been in so long
I guess I’m thinking of home
I guess I’m troubled just a little
My mixed feelings are so sentimental,
I guess I’m trying to think of what’s best
For me, my family and all the rest
I guess Lord, I just don’t know what to do
Please, let me lean heavily on You
Heavily, because I need to know what is right
Is it sorrow or happiness You see in sight?
I guess Lord, I cannot face anymore sorrow
I need Happiness – tomorrow,
And I guess Lord it is all up to you
Whether or not to make our lives anew
I guess Lord, I’m leaving it all in your hands
Not to meeting needs, but, your demands,
I guess, I want you to control my life
Just make me a loving mother and wife
I guess I really only want two things
Happiness with my family and friends,
Just let me know Lord, what is best
With, only your help, I’ll do the rest.

Linda and I have lived a seperate life since adulthood. She moved north and I moved south. The seperation has been hard for both of us. Being separate from each other and from our parents and loved ones has been a real trial. God has given us hope of being together forever someday. Thank you God for that hope!
