My Little Oak Tree

My Little Oak Tree

by Sue Ann

Doll in a blue outfit

On sunny days,
I always like to play,
With my so many little dollies,
With Ann, Karen, and even Pollie,
We sit out in front of my little oak tree,
That always seemed to please me.

But on rainy days,
I always felt sad,
Until all my little dolls,
Would make me feel glad,
To be alive and to be free,
Just sitting under my little oak tree.

Sue Ann wrote this poem when she was 9 yrs old. She wrote poetry and stories all through her school years. This one is a favorite of mine.
