What Could It Be

It’s pretty obvious I’m hooked on a feeling
That is not in part… but, completely revealing,
What on Earth do you think it could be?
That has immensly inspired me
Do you think it could be my love for mom and dad?
And all the moments together we have had?
Do you think it could be our closeness at heart?
Even though, we are miles and miles apart?
Do you think this feeling transpires from a true devotion?
That is deeper and wider than any ocean?
Or…is it their display of trust and dedication?
That has come about by devine obligation
Is it their exhibit of devoted providence?
That has established in our minds a world of confidence?
Or, is it just because they care?
And, have always been honest, trustworthy and fair
Could it be because they gave me two sisters and a brother?
Or, is it just because there is No Sweeter Father or Mother
Perhaps, because of their continued guidance I have learned,
The true meaning of a self-expression, called “Concerned”.
I must confess it’s all the above combination
That has built such a strong, sound relation,
And for as long as my life exist
This feeling in my heart will persist
Yes, it’s pretty obvious I’m hooked on a feeling
